A teacher is not someone who asks to be imitated, but someone who enables each person to discover their own voice.
To mark the 70th anniversary of its foundation (1956–2026), BRULLI continues its programme of events dedicated to the city of Reggio Emilia by promoting a keynote lecture by Professor Massimo Recalcati, one of the most influential voices in contemporary psychoanalysis.
Called “In praise of the teacher”, the event will explore the deeper meaning of education and the role of the teacher: not simply as someone who passes on knowledge, but as someone able to awaken desire, open up new possibilities and guide each person towards the development of free and independent thought.
Open to the public, the event will take place on Wednesday, 14 October 2026 at 8:00 pm in the Annamaria and Marco Gerra Auditorium at the Loris Malaguzzi International Centre, Viale B. Ramazzini 72/A, Reggio Emilia.
