To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, BRULLI presented a powerful and moving work. “The Deceived Simplicity” brings back to light the voices of a group of young women who, in the sixteenth century, challenged social conventions and asserted their freedom of thought and their right to question a male-dominated culture.
The performance recounts the shared fate of generations of women and celebrates the power of coming together as a single “chorus” to shape a different future.
An important opportunity to rethink together the path towards equality and to give a voice to all those women who have been denied one.
